Notice is hereby given to the public and residents of Moroni City that the Moroni City Council will consider appointing an individual to fill the unexpired term of office held by council member Tracy Braithwaite. The term of the person appointed shall serve until the next municipal election.
Any individual interested in submitting his/her name for consideration must meet the following qualifications: (1) be a United States citizen; (2) be a registered voter of Moroni City; (3) be a resident of Moroni or a resident of a recently annexed area for 12 consecutive months preceding the date of appointment; and (4) all other requirements set forth in Section 20A-9-203, UCA.
Letter of interest with a brief statement as to why the individual would want to be a council member and what the individual's goals are pertaining to the future of Moroni City. Letters must be received in the office of the City Recorder at 80 South 200 West, Moroni, Utah, by 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2012.
