SYRACUSE CITY CORPORATION 1000 WEST CULINARY AND SECONDARY WATERLINE PROJECT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Separate sealed Bids for the construction of the 1000 West Culinary and Secondary Waterline Project will be received by Syracuse City Public Works at 3061 S. 2400 W., Syracuse Utah, 84075, until 10:00 a.m., prevailing local time, on November 15, 2012 . Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time on that date at the address listed above. The 1000 West Culinary and Secondary Waterline Project consists of: Installation of approximately 4,080 ' of 16 " DR-18 C-900 Secondary Water pipe with associated fittings Installation of approximately 4,181 ' of 12 " DR-18 C-900 Culinary Water pipe with associated fittings Installation of approximately 176,505 square feet of 4 " Hot Bituminous Asphalt The Instructions to Bidders, Bid Form, Agreement, Plans, Specifications, and other Contract Documents may be examined or obtained at the following locations: 1. Syracuse City Public Works, 3061 South 2400 West, Syracuse, Utah. 2. An electronic set of plans can be emailed upon request by contacting the Syracuse City public Works Department at 801-825-7235 for no charge Bidders must obtain the Project Documents from one of the above locations to be included on the official plan holders list. A bidder must be on the official plan holders list to submit a bid. This is a federally funded project. All bidders are required to take the six affirmative steps to assure compliance with the State 's 'fair share goals ' and are required to comply with EEO regulations. The bidder is required to comply with federal regulation 40 CFR 35.3575 (d) Minority and Women 's Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) procurement requirements. A paper copy of The Instructions to Bidders, Bid Form, Agreement, Plans, Specifications, and other Contract Documents may be obtained at the Syracuse City Public Works for a NON-REFUNDABLE fee of $30.00. Documents will be available October 23, 2012.
