ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Lift Station #9 Rehabilitation Project Plain City Corporation RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids will be accepted at the offices of Wasatch Civil Consulting Engineering, 5320 South 1950 West Street, Suite 1, Roy City, Utah, 84067, until 10:00 a.m. on March 15th, 2012, for the Lift Station #9 Rehabilitation Project for Plain City Corporation. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Rehabilitate an existing lift station wet-well by removing and disposing of existing equipment and installing new pumps, guide rails, level sensors, piping, wiring, control panel and manhole lid and hatch. The work also includes coordination with utility companies as well as all other associated work in accordance with the Contract Documents. LOCATION OF WORK: The work is located at 4151 West on 1975 North Street in Plain City, Utah. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work specified in the Contract Documents shall be completed within 45 days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. OPENING OF BIDS: Bids will be publicly opened at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 15th, 2012, at the aforementioned office of Wasatch Civil Consulting Engineering. OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Wasatch Civil Consulting Engineering, 5320 South 1950 West, Suite 1, Roy City, Utah, upon application and payment of a $30.00 non-refundable fee. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier 's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price, made payable to Plain City Corporation as guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Contract, secure payment of Worker 's Compensation insurance and furnish a satisfactory, faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price. WAITING PERIOD BEFORE AWARD: A waiting period of up to three weeks from the date of opening of bids to award of contract may be required. Bidders shall assume full responsibility for and shall guarantee the bid price during this period and make certain the time period is stated in and does not restrict the proposal guarantee. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to opening of bids, shall be directed to the Project Engineer. It shall be understood, however, that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any "or equal" products be considered for approval prior to award of contract.
