ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID 2013 CONCRETE MAINTENANCE PROJECT Roy City Corporation RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids will be accepted at the Office of Roy City Public Works Building, 5460 South 2700 West, Roy City, Utah, 84067, until 2:00 p.m. on August 22nd, 2013 , for the 2013 Concrete Maintenance Project for Roy City Corporation. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of replacing miscellaneous concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk and pedestrian ramps and construction of new concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk. Project budget is approximately $100,000. LOCATION OF WORK: The work is located at various sites throughout Roy City. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work specified in the Contract Documents shall be completed by June 30th, 2014. OPENING OF BIDS: Bids will be publicly opened at 2:00 p.m. on August 22nd, 2013, at the aforementioned office of the Roy City Public Works Building. OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents may be obtained upon application and payment of a $30.00 non-refundable fee to the office of Wasatch Civil Consulting Engineering, 5434 South Freeway Park Drive, Riverdale, Utah 84405, (801)775-9191. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier=s check or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price, made payable to Roy City Corporation as guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Contract, secure payment of Worker 's Compensation insurance and furnish a satisfactory, faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price. WAITING PERIOD BEFORE AWARD: A waiting period of two weeks from the date of opening of bids to award of contract may be required. Bidders shall assume full responsibility for and shall guarantee the bid price during this period and make certain the time period is stated in and does not restrict the proposal guarantee. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to opening of bids, shall be directed to the Project Engineer. It shall be understood, however, that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any Aor equal@ products be considered for approval prior to award of contract.
