ADVERTISEMENT 2011-2012 TRENCHLESS SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECTS NORTH OGDEN CITY CORPORATION RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS: Sealed proposals will be received at the North Ogden City Offices at the City Recorders Office, 505 E 2600 N, North Ogden City, Utah until 11:00 a.m. on January 31, 2012, for the 2011-2012 TRENCHLESS SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECTS. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The works consists of video inspection and cleaning approximately 6,213 linear feet of 8 " concrete sewer pipe, rehabilitating sewer pipe with approved trenchless technique and reinstating approximately 72 sewer lateral services. LOCATION OF THE WORK: The work is located on 2800 N. from 450 E. to 700 E., 2750 N. from 450 E. to 650 E. including associated side streets, 975 E. From 2850 N. to 2900 N., and on Lomond View Dr. at 193 East. The manhole that is needed for access at 193 E. Lomond View Drive is located inside an existing barn. Contractors turning in a bid that would like to look at this site, need to contact Jim Wells, North Ogden Sewer Superintendent, about a date and time to look at this manhole prior to turning in their bid. OPENING OF PROPOSALS: The proposals will be publicly opened at 11:00 a.m. on January 31, 2012, at the North Ogden City Offices, 505 E 2600 N, North Ogden City, Utah. OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents, including Drawings and Specifications, may be obtained at the office of the Engineer; Jones and Associates, 1716 East 5600 South, South Ogden, Utah up on application and payment of a $30.00 non-refundable fee. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier 's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price payable to NORTH OGDEN CITY CORPORATION as a guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Contract, secure payment of worker 's compensation insurance and furnish a satisfactory, faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) of the contract price. WAITING PERIOD BEFORE AWARD: A waiting period of 30 calendar days from the date of opening of bids to award of contract may be required. Bidder 's shall assume full responsibility for and shall guarantee the bid price during this period and make certain the time period is stated in and does not restrict the proposal guarantee. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids, shall be directed to the Project Engineer. It shall be understood, however, that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any "or equal " products be considered for approval prior to award of contract. OWNER 'S RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive an informality in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the Owner. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Please submit specifications for trenchless pipe repair method selected including proposed materials and detail drawings with the proposal. Please include the time available to begin the project and proposed time to complete the project.
