ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID 5900 SOUTH CULINARY WATERLINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT Roy City Corporation RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids will be accepted at the Office of the Roy City Public Works Building, 5460 South 2700 West, Roy City, Utah, 84067, until 2:00 p.m. on June 28, 2013, for the 5900 South Culinary Waterline Replacement Project for Roy City Corporation. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Furnish and install 1,900 l.f. of 8 " dia. PVC culinary water pipe within existing City streets. The work includes: installation of pipe, valves, fittings, fire hydrants, and water services; asphalt pavement patching; and completion of associated work as indicated in the Contract Documents. LOCATION OF WORK: The work is located near 2200 West 5900 South, Roy City, Utah. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work specified in the contract documents shall be completed within 45 working days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. OPENING OF BIDS: Bids will be publicly opened at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013, at the aforementioned office of the Roy City Public Works Building. OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents may be obtained upon application and payment of a $30.00 non-refundable fee at the office of Wasatch Civil Consulting Engineering, 5434 South Freeway Park Drive, Riverdale, Utah 84405, (801)775-9191. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier 's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price, made payable to Roy City Corporation as guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Contract, secure payment of Worker 's Compensation insurance and furnish a satisfactory, faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to opening of bids shall be directed to the Project Engineer. It shall be understood, however, that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any "or equal " products be considered for approval prior to award of contract.
