DAVIS COUNTY SOCIAL SERVICE BLOCK GRANT (SSBG) PROGRAM NOTICE GRANT APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE FOR SSBG ACTIVITIES IN DAVIS COUNTY FOR 2013-14 Davis County will make available application materials for the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) program funded by the State of Utah and allocated to counties. These funds will be awarded to nonprofit organizations that provide services to help Davis County residents achieve or maintain economic self-support and self-sufficiency; prevent, reduce, or eliminate dependency; prevent or remedy neglect, abuse, or exploitation of children and adults unable to protect their own interests. Davis County does not know the exact amount available at this time but anticipates approximately $106,000 for 2013-14. Application forms must be submitted for each proposed project. Information packets and application forms will be available at the Davis County Planning Office, Room 304, located in the Administration Building, 61 South Main Street, Farmington, Utah 84025. Physical access parking and entrance are located on the east side of the building and on Main Street. Applications and information materials may be e-mailed to applicants if they will contact Greg Johnson at gcjohnson@ daviscountyutah.gov. Applications and instructions, along with submittal requirements, are also available on the County website at the following address: http://www.daviscountyutah.gov/. These are competitive grants, and funding recommendations will be provided to the County Commissioners by a review board. The Commission will decide which applications are funded, and at what funding level. These funds will be available for projects beginning July 2013.
