ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FRIENDSHIP PARK SPRINKLER PROJECT South Ogden City Corporation RECEIPT OF BIDS: Bids will be accepted through BidSync until 2:00 p.m. on April 3rd, 2013, for the Friendship Park Sprinkler Project for South Ogden City Corporation. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of constructing a sprinkler system that will deliver secondary water to an existing 11 acre city park. Construction of the sprinkler system includes: sod cutting and replacement; installation of pipe, pipe fittings, valves, sprinkler heads and controls; a pump and pump controls; and all other appurtenances and devices necessary to construct the sprinkler system in accordance with the Contract Specifications. LOCATION OF WORK: The work is located at Friendship Park, 5500 South 700 East in South Ogden City. COMPLETION OF WORK: Work located in the vicinity of the baseball diamonds shall be completed on or before May 13th, 2013. The remainder of the specified Work shall be completed by June 1, 2013. OPENING OF BIDS: Bids will be received through BidSync on or before 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2013 where they will be evaluated by South Ogden City. OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents are only available online at BidSync. PRE-BID MEETING: All bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting at Friendship Park, 5500 South 700 East in South Ogden City, Utah. The pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 27th at 10:00 am and again at 2:00 pm. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier 's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price, made payable to South Ogden City Corporation as guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Contract, secure payment of Worker 's Compensation insurance and furnish a satisfactory, faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to opening of bids, shall be submitted through BidSync. It shall be understood, however, that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any "or equal " products be considered for approval prior to award of contract.
