DAVIS COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 7-2011 AN ORINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE ADMINISTRATION AND PERSONNEL ORDINANCE AS SET FORTH IN TITLE 2, DAVIS COUNTY CODE, TO UPDATE THE CODE WITH REGARD TO RECENT DEPARTMENT CHANGES AND INCREASING COSTS OF OPERATION The Board of County Commissioners of Davis County, Utah, in a regular meeting, lawful notice of which has been given, finds that Section 2.48.050 of the Davis County Code is outdated and should be amended to reflect recent changes to the Davis County Department of Community and Economic Development into two separate Departments, and that certain fees and costs must be updated to reflect actual costs of operation, and that it is in the best interest of the County that the amendments set forth below be adopted. THEREFORE, the Board of County Commissioners of Davis County, Utah, hereby adopts the following ordinance: BE IT ORDAINED THAT: Section 1. Section 2.48.050 of the Davis County Code is amended as follows: Section 2.48.050 Planning Department The following fees and charges are approved and shall be assessed and collected by the Davis County Planning Department: A. Building Fees and Valuations Building Program Fees: Building valuations and permit fees are based on allowable International Code Council (ICC) valuation tables and fee schedules. Other fees that may be charged in-lieu of ICC fees are as follows: Shed - $10.50 per square foot without floor Shed - $13.00 per square foot with floor Reroof - $8.00 per square foot valuation Remodel - Minimum of 2 inspections at current inspection rate Agriculture Buildings: Greenhouses - $3.00 per square foot plus minimum of 3 inspections Enclosed - $10.50 per square foot plus minimum of 3 inspections Pole barn - $6.50 per square foot plus minimum of 3 inspections Pole barn (with floor) - $9.50 per square foot plus minimum of 3 inspections Swimming Pool - Minimum of 2 inspections Wood stoves - 1 inspection Deck (post home construction - 1 inspection Temporary Trailer - 2 inspections Plan Check - 30% of building fee Demolitions - 1 inspection Manufactured Housing - 6 inspections Cell Tower Site - 15 inspections - Charged at the current rate as negotiated in Building Inspector 's Contract Site Plan (Planning Commission - $100.00 Construction Bonds - Refundable on approved final inspection, unless repairs are required to public street improvements -Accessory Units - $200 - Remodal or addition to existing construction - $500 - New construction - $1000 Inspection - Charged at the current rate as negotiated in Building Inspector 's Contract B. Zoning and Land Use Fees Agriculture Protection Area Application - $250.00 Appeals Fee $200.00 Conditional Use permit - $200.00 Rezoning - $200.00 Subdivision Preliminary Plat / P.U.D. - $250.00 plus $40.00 per lot Subdivision Final Plat / P.U.D. / Private-right-of way - $400.00 plus $50.00 per lot Zoning Ordinance Amendment - $200.00 Excavation Permit for native material removal - $200.00 C. Business Licenses Home Occupations - $30.00 Construction Companies - $75.00 Refinery/Gasoline Dealer - $100.00 Solicitors - $100.00 Sexually Oriented Business - $200.00 All Other Business - $40.00 D. Beer Licenses Off-Premise Beer Retailer - $75.00 On-Premise Beer Retailer - $100.00 Section 2. Effective Date This Ordinance shall become effective 15 days after its adoption and upon publication as required by law. This ordinance was duly approved and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of Davis County, Utah on the 20th day of December, 2011, with Commissioners Louenda H. Downs, P.
