ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID 1500 NORTH STREET SANITARY SEWER AND CULINARY WATERLINE PROJECT Plain City Corporation RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids will be accepted at the offices of Wasatch Civil Consulting Engineering, 5320 South 1950 West Street, Suite 1, Roy City, Utah, 84067, until 2:00 p.m. on February 27th, 2013, for the 1500 North Street Sewer and Culinary Water Project for Plain City Corporation. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of the following: Construct 1,800 l.f. of 10 " PVC waterline Including fittings, connections and service laterals. Construct 1,800 l.f. of 12 " PVC sewer and 185 l.f. of 8 " PVC sewer including precast concrete manholes; reconnecting existing sewer service laterals; abandoning an existing sewer lift station; street reconstruction and asphalt repair and all other associated work in accordance with the Contract Documents. LOCATION OF WORK: The work is located along 1500 North street in Plain City, Utah. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work specified in the Contract Documents shall be completed within 60 days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. OPENING OF BIDS: Bids will be publicly opened at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27th, 2013, at the aforementioned office of Wasatch Civil Consulting Engineering. OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Wasatch Civil Consulting Engineering, 5320 South 1950 West, Suite 1, Roy City, Utah, upon application and payment of a $30.00 non-refundable fee. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier 's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price, made payable to Plain City Corporation as guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Contract, secure payment of Worker 's Compensation insurance and furnish a satisfactory, faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price. WAITING PERIOD BEFORE AWARD: A waiting period of four weeks from the date of opening of bids to award of contract may be required. Bidders shall assume full responsibility for and shall guarantee the bid price during this period and make certain the time period is stated in and does not restrict the proposal guarantee. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to opening of bids, shall be directed to the Project Engineer. It shall be understood, however, that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any "or equal " products be considered for approval prior to award of contract.
